Transformative Healing with Horses

Horse Assisted Therapy

Experience profound personal growth and recovery through the unique bond between humans and horses. Our expert team guides you on a journey of self-discovery and healing.

What Is Horse Assisted Therapy?

Horse Assisted Therapy is a transformative therapeutic experience where horses act as co-therapists alongside trained human professionals. Unlike traditional therapy, Horse Assisted Therapy leverages the horse's natural awareness and sensitivity to the emotional states of those around them, offering clients authentic, non-judgmental feedback. Horses mirror the emotions and intentions of clients, helping them gain insights into their internal worlds. This unique dynamic creates a powerful and impactful therapeutic experience, free from the biases that can accompany human interactions.

Our Services

Horse Assisted Group Therapy

Our group sessions are designed to enhance observation skills, build confidence, and teach essential life skills such as communication and teamwork. Each session is part of a 5-week program, with each session lasting between 1 and 1.5 hours. Participants engage in tasks that promote problem-solving and collaboration, followed by a reflective process to discuss the insights gained during the session.

Horse Assisted Individual Therapy

For those seeking a more personalized experience, we offer individual Horse Assisted Therapy sessions. These sessions delve deeper into personal issues, providing opportunities for clients to explore different perspectives and shift entrenched mindsets. Each session is conducted with the presence of a therapist and a horse specialist, ensuring a supportive and effective therapeutic environment.

Testimonials

“ The therapeutic experience was phenomenal! From my personal experience with working with, riding and being around horses for most of my life, this has been a first for me dealing and working along our equine friends in this manner. It had reminded me a lot of the books I’ve read about Monty Roberts and many other horse and animal experts or “whisperers” and how they try to explain on how to connect with the animal on a deeper and more personal and emotional manner.
This also goes beyond what I had thought therapeutic treatment with horses really is. From what I know people undergo a quick online course and next thing you are magically qualified as a therapist. But those certificates are mickey mouse in comparison to what Corné and her associates had demonstrated to us. What they do takes years of practice, a very good eye in human behaviour and body language, proper questioning to the patient, allowing a patient to feel more than talk, and so much more.

The horses that they work with are extremely good at what they do as well, one can see that they, as much as their human counterparts, have years of experience in what they do and know how to work with people in most professional and gentle way possible. The fact that a patient gets to work one on one with a well-qualified professional as well as a well-trained animal that can be trusted to any extent makes for good observation from many other angles and perspectives. The team as a whole work together like a perfectly oiled machine. They offer group sessions with a minimum of 6 people, 2- or singleperson sessions in series of 5 or more sessions which can accommodate a client’s personal preference. Due to the nature and way of this therapy and how it brings out a completely different side of a person emotionally, I would recommend this treatment as an option to the program as it is a unique therapeutic experience that is rarely found in any other program, and I believe any patient who is willing to try it will benefit from it greatly and it could also be a helping hand to a counsellor, psychologist or psychiatrist to make better decisions regarding a patient’s recovery process.”
